How I Accidentally Discovered the Key to Crafting Great Articles

People suggest keeping draft articles for days when you can’t write.

I was trying to create a surplus of content for a week, and if I produced more over time, then fantastic. When I tried that approach, something good happened.

My articles got better.

What happened is I would write an article and then do the editing. Let that sit in my drafts, ready for the day I decided to publish. What’s intriguing is that I found my title and subtitle needed improvement when I was about to post.

They sounded corny and not that interesting. I would fix those up and then start to read my article.

Sometimes, I would get a quarter through and realize how bad it was.

If I made significant changes to my article, I’d wait until the next day to publish and move on to another draft. This approach has enhanced my writing skills.

Try writing something and returning to it the day after, and you’ll see what I mean.

You can enhance sentences by cutting unnecessary words and adding punctuation.

I never thought it would help my writing so much.

Make these edits quick and not time-consuming. It wouldn’t benefit you by taking 3 hours to review and edit your second draft.

It takes me around 10 mins to read through and make some edits unless the article I wrote could be better. Your article will always have flaws because writers are usually their harshest critics.

Choosing to publish is better than letting perfection hold you back.
